Wire/wires for Valet Switch

EVO-CHART4 Stand Alone / T-Harness.. 2015 Town & Country...

For the Hood/Valet Switch - is this a single wire hook up?

For the switch should the hood pin wire(A8) go to one terminal on the switch and the other terminal be grounded? OR should the 2nd terminal use the external input wire(A13)?

I assume grounded...

A8 is a hood pin to set the evo all in valet mode when hood open, prevents the module from accidentally remote started. So when the dark blue wire (a8) is at ground the vehicle will not start. It is a single wire drk blue wich gets connect to a hood pin. A13 is a external start stop trigger. So if this wire is pulsed negative the vehicle will either start or stop.

So then for the valet switch it would use the same hood pin wire (A8) and/or a jumper wire from A8 to a terminal on the switch, the other switch terminal would be grounded?

Using the same wire A8 for both a Hood Pin OR a Valet Switch... A jumper off A8 if both are used together.

So when the switch is closed, the A8 is grounded - preventing starting..
As I asume the hood pin body would be grounding itself in a bracket, depressed circuit is open/ungrounded allowing for remote start...

Thanks

Anytime ground is present on A8, the evo would not allow remote starting.

You can use both hood pin and a valet switch for an ultimate secure shut down.
