Hood pin being ignored?

0 votes
I have installed a EVO ONE in to my vehicle and everything is working great. The only issue I have is that the hoodpin safety feature is not working. When I have the hood open the car will still remote start. I have double checked the grounding of the hood pin and made sure that the hoodpin is enabled in the software. Everything is up to date and has been re-flashed. Any ideas on what might be causeing this?

You added a hood pin or is it a factory switch?

What vehicle?

What is the service number of the evo-one?

I think I figured it out. My car is a 2017, and I belivie the EVO ONE is bypassing the hoodpin (black pink wire) because it is using the built in hood pin and getting the information from the can bus of the car.

If using Pink/Black:

-- the vehicle will not remote start if there is a ground on that wire

-- If the vehicle is already remote started, it will NOT shut down when you open the hood

Option A11 only controls the montioring of hood status on CAN when available, and when a vehicle is equipped with a factory hood switch
