Evo-one 2020 forte wire cuts?

0 votes
I can see from the diagram, D1 and A10/D3 are tapped to the Brown/Orange (EMS COM) Pin 65 on the red connector and the wire is cut between the taps.

I can see its the same on D4 and D6 on the pink wire off the 54-pin connector at the rear of the fusebox.

Im a little confused about the orange wire on the same 54-pin connector and the D5 Connection.

From the diagram it appears that i have to cut the orange wire between pin 30 and 87a on the ignition relay? And D5 connects to pin 85 of the same relay....is this right? Or do i have to add a relay? can someone explain these connections a little more clearly?

You are adding a relay. It is to interupt that circuit upon remote start in order for your oem remotes to stay functional while the car is running.

Is there a specific kind of relay i'm to use? I don't want to purchase the wrong one. Thank you very much for your reply

edit...i found suitable relays.

So i would like to set it up that my aux wire Yellow/black activates my heated seats/rear defrost/heated steering wheel in the winter using the option that activates at -5. In the summer i would like to use the same aux to activate my A/C from the remote.

Should i not be able to do this with a few relays and a dpdt switch to switch which functions are used depending on the season.
you can pretty much do what you want.

Yellow/Black is default trunk release but can be changed to an AUX output via the options in Function 25. With option 39.2 enabled, the starter will automatically trigger the AUX output when temperatures are below 5C, so perfect for rear defrost.

If you leave your AC on before exiting, AC will be on when you remote start. No need for fancy wiring.
what if i dont care about OEM remote being functional then how do i bypass the relay all together.  If I only use RF 2 way key fob to remote start and not the OEM key fob.
