Evo-One wont go into Program Mode Audi A4

0 votes
Directions say to hold the button down and plug in the red cable/black connector, and the light should turn blue. However my light is always red, will not turn blue or flash any other colors. What am i doing wrong?

I am driving a 2014 Audi A4. According to the directions i should be able to enter programming mode without even being connected to my car, just the PC.

No, to enter programming mode you need to be in the car. The module programs to the car, not the pc.

The PC is used to first update the module to the required firmware that will be shown for your vehicle and to setup options indicated in the install guide.

I know it programs to the car but the directions say plug in the black connector. Which black connector on the harness is it referring to? I had assumed the it was the black PC cable lol, blonde moment i guess.
Which guide number are you following? I may also be having a blonde moment :D
Ok yes. I thought you ment you were trying to do that Step 1 on the computer. The T-harness has a little black 4 pin connector on there, that's what you should be using.

If all you get is the red led while holding down the button and inserting the black connector of the t-harness, you will need to flash the module to 0.99 then flash it back to 60.XX firmware it suggests.
Thank you Robb! Remote start is working like a charm, i appreciate the help!
