3xlock start is not listed as a feature for the 2017 4Runner https://fortin.ca/en/vehicles/toyota/4runner/2017-standard-key/

Remote start is listed further down under the EVO-ALL Remote Start section, what is that referring to?

Also, side question, on a 2015 4runner, is the thar-one-toy9 the only thing you need for using the EVO-ONE? I just did a Mazda CX-9 2018 and I only used the T-Harness for that and I only needed to plug those in, but the instructions for my Mazda were much clearer than the instructions for the 2015 4runner. Would I need to splice/remove any wires, etc?

When 3xlock is compatible, you'd see a 3xlock start icon under advanced features. Take that Mazda as an example: https://fortin.ca/en/vehicles/mazda/cx-9/2018-push-to-start/

If you click on the hamburger icon beside the feature Remote start it says: Complete remote-starter including necessary bypass solution. An RF-KIT can be required.

The 2015 4runner install pretty much plug in (although not a fan of that term). Only difference between this and that Mazda is that connectors you need are not all in one place. The only connection, aside from GROUND, would be the disarm wire which actually connects to a wire in the t-harness itself and it's only needed if the car has a factory alarm.
