2006 Chrysler 300 srt8 stand alone install

+1 vote
When installing do I need a relay or resistor? I have followed your instructions per the manual. The device has been updated and program to my car. I have both yellow cables from the 20 pin and t-harness connected to each other parking lights connected to the headlight switch and start/stop to the ignition harness. When I click lock 3x all electrical lights up but the car never cranks or turns on. Is that because I need the resistor and relay? Or is my wiring connected wrong? Please help

thanks

got a few questions.

  1. What is the 12 digit service number ?
  2. You mentionned it's a SRT; is it a push-to-start or regular key start ?
  3. Which connection did you follow in the installation guide ?

The unit is currently installed in the car so I would have to open the panel to view the device for the serial number. That's correct it is an SRT but doesn't have push/start. I start the car with the OEM regular key. I currently have Connection C... Based on Connection C... Do I have to have parking lights OUT brown/white and Start/Stop External Input hooked up in order for the car to turn on when clicking the remote 3x? Or is the yellow wire from the t-harness and the yellow wire from the 20 pin only needed to be connected to each other to at least get the car to start?
2008 300 SRT is listed as connection F. In connection F there's a note that says to use connection C if the start wire is not present.

If you followed connection C because your car has no Start wire at the ignition switch, you need to also connect the MUX wire as per connection F. The rest, you do not touch.

Start/Stop external input should not be connected to anything. This is only used as a trigger to start or stop the car from another souce (like a random button in the trunk)

With the service number, we can check if the options for 3x lock start are actually properly enabled in the EVO.
The service number is 001A06 519798
The options are set properly in your unit,

As Rober stated, you will need to verify that there is NO starter wire present on your ignition switch connector to use connection C

If there is a starter wire, you will need to follow connection F and do all the necessary connections shown in guide,

The green/red wire should be connected whichever connection guide you use, C or F, just pay attention to where it is supposed to go in each particular guide.

Your issue is starter wire related, so please do above verifications and correct the installation as needed.

Thank you.
This is entire time I have been having it set up per Connection C and it doesn't work all the electrical turns on and then the oem alarm sets off but the car never turns on and I get the check engine light. So with that being said I am going to assume my car does have a starter wire. I am going to do connection F and see if that works. I will respond back with results.
