2016 Audi A6 FlashLink Manager says it needs a key

0 votes
When I go to flash the Evo-One to firmware 60.10 as requested, the Module Flash page (summary) says Key Sacrificed = 1. According to your website the Evo-One doesn't need to use a key. Is the FlashLink Manager just not showing the correct Installation Method?

You will need to set the evo one up in pro mode for this vehicle. Do not use the wizard mode. 60.10 (min) is the correct firmware.

This is the installation guide for evo one without loosing a key.  https://fortin.ca/download/79791/evo-one_ig_reg_bi_aud-a6-a7-a8-rs7-s6-s7-s8_2011-2018_pts_a_79791.pdf

When I read "60.10 (min) is the correct firmware" I assumed the newer firmware on my module would work fine. Guess "min" doesn't mean minimum. Took me a few hours to figure out that I needed to both: 1. Use "Pro mode" while setting up the module, and 2. Needed to downgrade the firmware to 60.10. With the 75.38 firmware that I programmed my module to in "Wizard" mode, I could not get the module past step 6 (blue LED flashing rapidly) of the "key bypass programming procedure".
