EVO-All won't pass Red Light on programming (Step 5)

0 votes
I've flashed the EVO-All multiple times using both the wizard and Pro versions of the flashlink. No success. I essentially flash the module and it won't program past step 5 where the red light is supposed to turn blue and flash.

No clue where to go from here.

I'm using the T-Harness as well so there's no direct wiring.

What is the S/N to the module?

Are you using a t-harness? If so which one?
Yes - Char7 version.
when inserting the key at step 5 make sure to not turn it. also before inserting the key make sure you wait for the yellow led to turn on solid and stop blinking.

If the light does not switch to red, verify the harness and its connector are all properly seated, you can also try using the 2nd key for the vehicle to see if that changes the results.
My issue starts when the yellow light turns red. Once red it doesn't turn blue and begin to flash like it's supposed to. I'm not sure if there's a wiring problem, if the unit isn't flashed correctly.

I will however, try the second key and see if that makes a difference. I'm not sure if I'm using the master key or not. I'll comment back on progress here in a few minutes.

Thanks for the help.
I would double check your ignition input connection if thats the case. Sounds like the module is not seeing you turn the key on. It does this through the yellow ignition wire (a1) you connected.

That does make sense, I haven't done any splicing of wires, I originally had the set up done wire-to-wire, but it didn't work so I bought the T-Harness, now though I see I may be missing a step here.

Appreciate the help.

Did you ever get past this step?  I too am stuck at the same place where I can't get the LED to go blue.  I've spliced into the pink wire for the trailer brake controller with the yellow wire from the 20 pin but still no change.  Using the CHRT7 T harness as well.

Thanks!

It was the dang yellow wire - I used a T Tap and it apparently didn't connect.  Pulled it off and put in a butt splice instead and it is mostly working now.  Just need to finish programming my RF kit and then I can button things back up and be done with it.
