Rfk942 kit not working after several hours of being programmed.

I have a 2017 toyota sienna that has a Evo All unit installed that uses the factory fob and works just fine but range is not good. Purchased the rfk942 remotes, installed and programmed with no issues. But unfortunately after several hours the 942 remotes quit working until they are reprogrammed again, then the process repeats itself.. Factory toyota fob continue to work as they should.. any help would be great.

Plug your 9 series antenna into the flash link updater and re flash 1.05 into it, then re pair the remotes in the vehicle to the module and re test.

I don't install the professionally. I just installed it in my wife's van. So your saying I will need to purchase this Flash link Module for this one time use and be out $60? What else do I need to do or is there any other option? Thanks for your time Derek.
The only way to update the firmware in the antenna is by using the flash link updater and flash link manager.

 

You could try contacting your point of purchase to see if they can flash the antenna for you.
Ok. I ordered the flash link module.. Is there instructions on exactly what I need to do?. Please and thank you Derek.
There is no guide at this time that I am aware of.

 

It is pretty straight forward, you download the program here: https://fortin.ca/en/support/flashlinkmanager.html

 

log in using the same email and password you use for wirecolor.

connect the flasher followed by the antenna

once it loads click view other firmware and select the highest version you will see.

click flash

wait till it is done

then re instal in car and re pair remotes.

Ordered the Flash link and received it Friday. Re Flashed the antenna and reprogrammed remotes, which was pretty easy to do actually, been 2 days now and everything is working perfectly! Thank you Derek!
