2013 Chevy Cruze 1LT Automatic (NOT PUSH BUTTON START)

+1 vote
I have hooked everything up according to the directions, to the best of my knowlege. I did not hook up the brown, blue, or yellow-black, wires. I programmed and I get the point where it does the 10x yellow flashes then it does nothing else. All lights turn off until I remove the key and the blue light stays solid. It does not start. Am I missing something?

After this did not work I tried hooking up the three wires, I grounded black-yellow, hooked blue to the pink-black on 20 pin connector, and brown to the grey-green at light control module.

I have the Evo-All and the Wire Harness(thar gm1 I believe is what it is called). Please help.

Thank You,

C

Need more information on what you're doing:

Are you trying to install this as a stand alone remote start or with a remote start system (what model)?

Check your THAR-GM1 and confirm if it is version 1 or 2.

Might as well get the 12 digit service number from the back EVO-All to confirm firmware version.

What installation manual number are you using?  Something doesn't sound right...

Sounds like you have some wiring issues on the module and the car that need to be addressed.

Everything Don said.

If you have a THAR-GM1, you do not have the right harness. Their were modifications to the originalTharness GM1 done so that the stand alone feature could work. Which im assuming you bought the unit to use as Stand Alone (3x Lock)  and not use an aftermarket remote starter system.

From the 20-pin harness.

  • Dark Blue wire is not required
  • Yellow/black should not be grounded
  • Dont connect anything to the Pink/Black
  • Brown/White is for parking lights. this connection is not required for programming.

Basically, the only thing you should have to connect to the vehicle except for the Tharness is the BROWN wire from the 5-Pin white connector.

Ok sorry for lack of information, hopefully this will help.

I purchased as stand alone, my Harness has a label on it that says Thar GM1 V2.

Service number on my Fortin module reads- Service # 001A06 281012

Please let me know if I missed something. Thank You
Good, your EVO-All is set-up for stand-alone and you have the correct harness.

Also, make sure the brown wire from the 5 pin EVO harness goes to the car's pin #1 (green wire) of the OBDII connector under the dash like shown in the install manual.

No connections are made to the "light control module".  The brown/white EVO wire will connect to the parking light wire in the car's steering column near the light switch.
