2009 Tundra remote starts then dies after a few seconds

I just installed a remote starter in a 2009 Tundra it starts fine then dies aftr 5 to 8 seconds, I cant figure out what option I need to change. One other thing does the key have to be left in the ignition cause it will only remote start with the key in the ignition. Thank you Sean

If it only remote starts with key in barrel the module has not had the bypass programmed properly.

 

Try re programming the bypass.
