What option is best for Viper 5706V?

+1 vote
I am trying to figure out what the best route forward is for doing an install of a Viper 5706V in my 2001 Silverado. I looked at what your site states but am really at a loss as to which is the best option and which is compatible with the Viper alarm.

I am confident that I should be able to handle the install I just want to be 100% certain I get all the required bits up front. Any advice you could share would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

-Stephen

The best option would be a Passlock-SL2-V2. This will do transponder bypass for you truck and nothing else. http://fortin.ca/en/vehicles/chevrolet/silverado_1500/2001/

The last question is there any model that does more than just bypass or is that simply not something available with my alarm/vehicle?

I had noticed some others take some of the pain out of doing windows and door locks and such.

Due to the age of your vehicle all modules will only do bypass. So the SL2-V2 is the most cost effective options.

On these older vehicles manually wiring in all functions is pretty much common practice.
