how to check can-bus 2014 4runner

I have installed the evo one, all the connections are good (wrapped not t-tap'd) and correct according to the installation guide. The firmware is set at 79.24 however the unit will not respond to the truck, from searching i see that a blue light will flash when there is can activity. If i hit lock/unlock there is no blue light. Its not a vehicle problem because this is replacing a flcan and audiovox remote start which was working when uninstalled.

It will program, flash's blue and red x10 and the blue fast flash with no issues.

I tried backing the firmware up to 79.18 and still it does the same thing, reset and reprogrammed it.

I get a yellow light with ignition but no other lights.

I do have a flash module, the oem control is enabled from the bypass side and 3x start is enabled from RS side.

This is a G-Key truck, NOT push to start.

Hmmmm, 2014 Tundra is not listed as compatible with 3x Lock Start. I do believe it was removed since we cannot detect the factory remotes on the Can. The blue led as you mentionned should be flashing when pressing lock or unlock, this is a direct indicator if the commands are detected or not.

An RF-KIT will most likely be required.. but first... please try this one last thing as I have 1 success story that this worked for his vehicle.

Flash to firmware 79.15

Master Reset using this procedure:

  1. Hold down programming button while plugging in datalink connector.
  2. Let go of button when LED is RED.
  3. Push and hold button again until all three LEDs start to alternate.
  4. Disconnect unit, she is now reset.

Reprogram the unit to the vehicle.

Enable option C1 - OEM Remote Monitoring in the EVO-ONE (you currently have it enabled but the master reset will reset the options back to default)

This is for a 4Runner not a tundra. Is that what you meant? The reason I ask is it says to not use under 79.18 firmware, is it safe?
No, I meant Tundra, my own mistake, I was mixing both trucks up. You can still try the above but most likely will not work on the 4runner. You will need an RF-Kit for that truck.
Robert, thanks for your help. Since i have the all in one key i'm trying to avoid at all costs a extra remote.

Can 79.15 Firmware be made available to me, via flashlink the lowest is 79.18 which according to tundratalk forums will not work it has to be the 79.15 for the oem remote.
.. I didn't know the firmware was removed. Once it's gone, it's gone.

Asked deeper into it. We want to bring to truck back into the shop so we can rescan the codes. This is why both Tundra and 4Runner were removed almost a month ago as 3x Lock compatible.
