Hi Charles,

The feature your looking for is called Stand Alone Remote Starter. This feature is not available for the 2014 Kia Optima Push-to-Start. You will have to purchase a separate aftermarket remote starter to be able to power all the necessary ignition, accessory and start wires.

If you want to add a phone app to this, I'd recommend looking into the DEI Smart Start, or the Drone from Compustar. Either way, I'd pass by your local remote starter installation shop to see what products they can offer you.

Crimestopper works well with our units in datalink. There is also,

  • Autopage
  • Any DEI product
  • Automate
  • Scytech
  • Ultrastart
  • Autostart
  • Solace
  • Compustar
  • .....

As long as the unit in question has either D2D/Fortin or OP/OFA datalink protocols, you would be able to use datalink connections.
