What is the small relay on THAR-FORD2 REV.1 LOT 50317?

0 votes

I have a 2018 F150 and am installing a EVO-FORT2 module. In the guides, I don't see the micro relay. It is attached to the Light Blue wire (behind the relay, exiting stage left).

What is it's purpose? Is there a guide that shows it? Am I using the wrong guide? I was going to install by using guide 59421.

Can I just ignore it?

That opens the immobilizer circuit during remote start.

That is the correct guide to follow.

Yes just ignore it...its supposed to be there.

Thanks Derek.

I appreciate you taking the time to let me know what the relay does.

I was concerned it was for another application.

The only thing I found, pretty much, was the MR20 ad.

The MR20 is a prewired 20-amp Continuous Power and 25-amp Momentary Power relay that includes an exclusive socket.

the no-tharness guide shows what the relay is used for

Thanks Rob,

I had seen that too, but it didn't look like the same connections.

I think the 12v red goes to the black 4-pin connector on the evo. The blue black goes to the 4-pin barrel, but I don't get tone for the solid blue. Maybe it's purple, I'm bit color blind.

Shame the guide, 59421 I am using is not correct or complete.
