2012 Altima will only remote start if already in vehicle... or OEM remote is left behind

I installed my EVO All after updating and flashing the module the the newest firmware. The only issue is that the remote start does not work unless I am inside the car when I press the lock 3x on OEM key. When outside the car and I attempt to remote start, my dashboard will say that there is no key detected in the vehicle and therfore will not start. I quadruple checked the connection into the keyport and reset, reflashed and then reprogrammed the key several times with the updater software in bypass mode.

I've discovered a temprary fix by leaving my spare fob in the car so I can remote start the vehice. The only issue is that someone could get in my car and drive off if my doors were to be left unlocked, and it defeats the purpose of a spare key.

Looking at the service number this module has not been flashed or set up proerply.

I would suggest by choosing the correct vehicle, flashing the correct firmware and then re programming it in the vehicle.

Customer phoned in for support. Cause of problem was a connection mistake.
what was the connection mistake? I am having the same issue with 2012 nissan Rogue.

Hi Derek! I have the same issue with 2014 Ford Kuga PTS automatic.

After trying to remote start IPC shows message "FordKeyFree doesn't recognized. Please insert key in slot" and than OEM-alarm starts to beep.

It only starts remotely when I'm holding key near driver's window or inside the car. After that I can't open doors with this remote (blue led flashes when button has pressed). I need to press 3x lock to shut down engine and after that I can unlock doors.
