2018 ford edge evo all with radiostar generation

0 votes

Hello everyone,

Looking to install this evo all with this radiostar generation remote starter (https://policeauctionscanada.com/Listing/Details/49897032/Radiostar-2-Way-LCD-Vehicle-Security-System-Remote-Start-240093B) As my buddy is insisting to use it. It wouldve been a lot easier if i do it with fortin RF kits. Anyway. My question is according to the this diagram on the fortin website (https://cdn02.fortin.ca/download/66011/EVO-ALL_IG_SAL_BI_FOR-EDGE_2015-2017_C_66011.pdf)

Where should i connect all those dotted lines going to the remote starter? There is no datalink on this remote starter. Unlock and lock to the remote starter side? Specifically the “start/stop external” and the “convenient ignition out” from evo all going to the remote starter side? Im confused. Please help. I appreciate it. Thanks in advance

Hello,

If the vehicle is PTS this would be the guide to follow: https://cdn02.fortin.ca/download/66041/EVO-ALL_IG_REG_BI_FOR-EDGE_2015-2017_C_66041.pdf

If the starter does not offer data link then all the dotted lines between the 2 modules will need to be manually connected.

If the vehicle is key start this would be the guide and the same would apply: https://cdn02.fortin.ca/download/96201/EVO-ALL_IG_REG_BI_FOR-EDGE_2015-2017_KEY_D_96201.pdf

Best regards.

Oh did i search up the wrong guide? It also says ford edge? Also in the guide you gave me all the broken lines will have to be connected? thats a lot of wires. I thought the guide only needs a few wires.

Anyway us there no other way around? Thanks
Yes there is a much simpler way to go about it.

Use the evo-all with a thar-fort3 t-harness in stand alone and you have 0 wires to connect. Then simply add a Fortin RF kit for longer range.

Otherwise if using a remote starter in wire to wire without data link then you would follow the guides previously linked.

Best regards.
