Try lowering the remote starter firmware to 1.21 and the re test.

Super, that worked

But now it shuts off after starting for a brief moment
Light blue/black wire. Verify this connection.  It needs to be on ECM side of the cut immobilizer wire.

Guide says to connect with D1 Yellow/Green wire. You may need to connect it to D3 Yellow/Red.
Super that worked

I reversed the wires and all worked fine.

Question : so is there any way to remote shut off car after remote start is on?

at the moment the only way to shut it down is with the brake switch..

Q: Also the heated seats work with remote start, can the rear defrost work as well ?  and if so how do i get defrost  to work?

Q: when i change options in the unit with the flash link do i need to on the internet or can i just hook into the unit at the car with the computer and flash link and click on the options i want and hit save?

Again You Guys are Wonderful.

Great product as well

Thanks

Yes if you wire it in and activate option 39 you can have rear defrost.

Never plug the flash link into the evo when it is plugged into your car. You can cause serious damage. it must be removed from the car and plugged into a computer (internet is suggested)

Hello,

Not to hijack a thread but I have a similar question. This is my first time installing a remote start. Could you elaborate a little on what you mean by "Wire it in"? Which wire do you need to tap into in the vehicle? Is it a simple inline splice, or do I need to cut the defrost wire and connect one side to one wire and the other side to another wire on the EVO? Thanks !
Hello Steve,

I have the same car and a similar situation. Car will remote start, but turns off imediately. Just to verify you connected Light Blue / Black to Yellow / Red on the ECM side of imobilizer, then connected The Yellow / Green wire to harness side correct? Also, once you did this did you upgrade to the latest firm ware again or are you still running v1.21? Thank you !
I can confirm that yellow/green and yellow/red wires in installation manual are messed up. yellow/red wire is supposed to be connected to lt.blue/black and to the ECU side of IMO wire - in my harness cable yellow/red and lt.blue/black were connected out of the box,  check your harness cable with ohm-meter to find out.

Also, the recomended place to look for IMO wire is almost impossible to reach (harness behind the fuse box). the better location is at the ECU harness (black box under the hood - passenger side, lower harness(gray connector), red/white wire. yellow/red wire from evo to the ECU side. to run wires through the firewall just cut a rubber cup ( from the engine side driver side) with carpenters blade and use "fishing" wire.

Also, I found that sub2 t-harness (for PTS) does not fit connectors found behind cluster (2017 3.6R touring), had to use wire-to-wire connections - not a big deal.

Also, IMHO, the best location to place evo module for easy access is a box right beneath the climate cotrol (where usb and aux connectors are). make a hole for the wires in a bottom of this box - left far corner (remove rubber liner first), make a nice cover for evo, so you can keep using that box as a storage. you can run antenna cable through the central speaker grill instead of all the way around the dash.

I used the latest (as of nov-01-22) firmware for bypass and remote.

I had some troubless to register remotes. finally what worked was: on-off-on (no rush here, "on" means push start button 2 times w/o touching brake pedal, "off" - push 1 time ) - steady blue light on remote antenna, than push brakes 4 times - rapidly flashing blue light, than register all remotes by short pressing (+)or(-) button (depends of remote you have) and tnan short press LOCK button, after registering all your remotes press PTS button once (off)

I did not connect "parking lights" wire. btw, what is "parking light switch" in installation manual ?
