2006 G35 coupe intelli-key auto headlights does not turn off

0 votes

I have a 2006 G35 coupe automatic with intelli-key. I also wired a RS7-G5 to my EVO-ALL. After I remote turn off the car and lock it with the RS7-G5 it doesn't shut down the headlights if I leave them on auto. They simply stay on. If I turn the car off and lock it with my intelli-key the headlights shut off after 40 seconds, as expected when they're set to auto.

I connected the wiring just as in pic below however the 'At Driver Door Pin' I do not have a white cable in my G35 as the diagram shows. I also attached a picture of the connector that I have. So instead of connecting the lt blue/black to a white cable I connected it to my yellow cable however same results, auto lights stay on after remote shut off and lock. If I don't connect the At Driver Door Pin wire to anything same result as well.

Thanks for the help!

After shutdown the vehicle will take at least 30 seconds to shutdown headlight, make sure you wait long enough.

Yes the yellow wire is the driver doorpin.

I've connected the yellow to the lt blue/black wire, see pic below.

I just took this video showing how my car is reacting when conencted.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d68WY_Dtmts&feature=youtu.be

In the video the lt blue/black wire is connected to the yellow one, the car has been remote started and headlights are set to auto.

0:15 showing headlights are on auto

0:25 showing yellow wire is connected to lt blue/black

0:45 remote turning off the car

1:00 locking the car lights turn off and on, I'm just standing waiting for 2 minutes, what you hear in the background of video is the neighbor getting out of their car and locking it multiple times.

3:05 I give up and unlock the car lights flicker off and on

3:10 I lock the car and lights it sounds like light starter flick and lights turn off and on

3:24 unlock and lights do multiple flickering *very obvious to see flicker here

I have a couple suggestions you can try if you would like....

1- test lt.blue/black and see if is pulsing after shutdown. If not try lowering the firmware in the evo, re program and re test.

OR

2- take a Re-arm wire or something similar from your remote starter and let it handle the auto light shut down by pulsing the yellow wire after shutdown.

Just incase...If you are using t-taps butt connectors or anything similar remove them and make a proper spliced connection.
