Evo-All Module don't work propertly in kia soul 2013

0 votes
I have Kia Soul 2013 without push-start button and with 2L gasoline engine. I have Installed Fortin Evo-all module with hardware version 6 (I want to use it only as bypass module, but I have connected CAN bus too). I have connected this module as described in manual and have rechecked it by wirecolour.com wire diagrams. When I was programming this module to programm number 3 in step 2 I didn't have 10-times flashes of Blue LED but I had 10-times flashes of Red LED and STEP number 3 was as described in manual.

After that I tried to start my car 10 times via my car-alarm. First 2 or 3 times it starts engine normally and then my car runs with variable success, Because sometimes it didn't see the key. I reprogrammed the module 3 times but got the same result.

Module behaves the same for all attempts to run. When I start my car via car alarm system on Evo-all module I see yellow and red light is on, and when I start it by the key I See only yellow flash is on. But sometimes my car sees bypass key and sometimes not. Please answer: What's wrong with my Evo-all or installation? Thank you for your answer.

The programming you mention seems right. Only one set of CANs are connected in thios install so the only the RED LED will flash for tach and foot brake. You will not see the Blue light flash as we do not cover door locks and other things on this car.

What's wrong with my Evo-all or installation? Thank you for your answer.

Could be a few reasons but try looking this over:

  • Do not use Datalink connections if you are not familiar at setting protocols. Cut the Blue and White wires from the datalink connector.
  • Program a tach to the remote starter, do not use tachless
  • Remove the Can connector from the EVO and connect the foot brake and tach directly to car from the remote starter.

But sometimes my car sees bypass key and sometimes not.

If it's starting once, the EVO is doing transponder bypass. No need to attempt reprogramming, something else is messing with the system.
