2018 Tiguan will not start

0 votes
2018 VW Tiguan, STD-Key, Not digital cluster, AT

EVO-ALL firmware 64.06

THAR-VW6

Decrypted and programmed successfully, but when trying to remote start via lock lock lock from oem key, car turns on, but doesn't crank.

Tested while in the car and the depress break light (shift lock) was still illuminated. I wired in the Yellow/Red Break Out to Black/Red VESCM (+)Foot Break correctly.

Tested command start while in the car and depressing the break, works.

Please assist.

Exchanged EVO-ALL unit for a new one with the retailer.
Everything worked with the new unit.

Hello,

Try turning off A13 and turning on D6 and re test.

Please observe the brakes lights when testing and let me know if they are turning on at remote start.

Best regards.

Can confirm yellow/blue has constant 12v
Alrighty, next step would be to call into tech support when you have the vehicle, module and flasher on hand so that a tech can go over it with you.

I tested the yellow/red directly from the EVO-ALL and not along the line (pin3 of the red connector).

Attempted command start with multimeter connected, 0 Volts constant.

I believe my EVO-ALL device is faulty.

How would I go about getting a replacement?

Would I go through you guys or the retailer whom I originally purchased?
If you wanted to try a 2nd unit you would need to contact your point of purchase.

I would still suggest calling in so that an agent can go through resetting and re programming the unit with you just in case:

I was just on the line with tech support and the call got disconnected.

Last troubleshooting step taken was:

-Flash 64.10 firmware and reprogram and decrypt with Push-to-Start option turned on.

-Attempted this. Programmed and decrypted successfully.

-Test command start (Lock-Lock-Lock); EVO-ALL ticks on, vehicle does not turn on.

-Tested again with Push-to-Start turned off; vehicle turns on, does not start as break is not being depressed.

Pin D3 not producing momentary 12V on start.

I will be submitting an exchange request with the retail for a new EVO-ALL device.
