EVOALL will not learn key code in Jeep Gladiator

0 votes
Hello.  When I power up the EVOALL, I get to where the blue light is solid and when I turn the ignition on, the blue light shuts off.  The module is then supposed to flash blue rapidly to learn the key code.  The module lights do not turn on or flash.  This is a stand alone EVOALL with the T harness.  I am at a loss.  I checked all of my connections.  I have the latest firmware via FLASH-LINK.  Thanks in advance.

What is the s/n to the module?

Also might wanna re check your can wires. If you are using any type of quick connect, remove it and make a solid spliced connection.

Hello.  Sorry about the late reply.  It has been very hot in Phoenix and I have been on call for work.

I am not using any quick connecters on the wires and had this module on my previous vehicle, a 2019 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon (JL).  The module has been flashed with the latest firmware via Flashlink.

Info on the back of module:

The S/N is 001A06 805486

Hardware Vr. 6

Firmware Vr. 4.18

Date: 02/2018  Type 2
I see from other questions submitted in the forum that the modules have a limit on programming them.  That is something I did not know about.  I have used my decryptor for my other truck, a 2019 Ram 1500.  Is there a lock out for the decryptor?
Yes, the flasher will advise you when you hit your limit. If that hapens simply call us with the module in hand and we can get it reset for you.

The decryptor has not said I had reached my limit.  I will have to triple check my connections this weekend.  Thanks for the help.
Is there a chart of the trouble codes (lights) that the module flashes?  That would help in troubleshooting.

First, since the module was programmed to another vehicle in the past, please reset it: https://fortin.ca/en/qa/50193/faq-how-do-i-reset-my-evo-all?show=50193#q50193

The blue should be shutting off after pressing the programming button 1 time after ignition is going on.  If the blue led is going out when you turn on the ignition, that means the yellow wire is connected and it should not be.

Blue LED going out but not flashing means there is a problem with the CAN connections. Most likely CAN1.

Just to be sure, the proper guide is this one: https://cdn02.fortin.ca/download/88541/evo-all_ig_tsa_bi_chr6-jeep-gladiator_pts_2020_a_88541.pdf
