EVO-ONE (Remote Starter/Alarm) Options Description Write Up

+1 vote
We are very excited to try out your new EVO-ONE as both and an alarm and remote starter on some of the vehicles that we will be working on. However, we just need more info and descriptions on each options/settings on it and what the possible connections (detailed wiring digrams for advanced options) to it? We tried flashing one connecting one on the flash link updater (toggled as a remote starter) and opened up the options and lot of it, we are not sure of what it does and how it works exactly.

Do you have some sort of a full detailed guide or a write up? We strive to know how the product works before we install them into a customer's vehicle. We have been installing Compustar products for a long while now and we pretty know its capabilities and options. It'll be nice if we can learn the EVO-ONE as well.

Thanks!!!

There is a ton of options. You should already be familiar with most of them since every starter has commonly used options. We are working on an install guide to go along with the Quick Install Guide already in the box but I have no idea when it would be available, we're always adding an option here and there so kind of no point at the moment.

Have no fear, I still have something for you. You will find on the website, it's hidden, our remote starter we used to install locally (FSA-206). The options are similar (but there are less). The guide with descriptions for this unit can be found here : fortin.ca/download/3017/fsa-206_installation_guide.rev-q.pdf

You honest best bet here is just to take the Quick Install located in the box and read through the options. You'll see, they make sense. The user guide is also very helpful.

Robert, do you have a link of the EVO-ONE quick install guide (or any other non vehicle specific install guides) for it? We have a hard copy but I would liek to save an electronic copy

Thanks

The major change between all the guides you see listed under Product Installation Guides, is the remote programming. Different remotes, different types of programming procedure for that remote.

The generic guide is named,  EVO-ONE & Generic Quick Install

Robert,

Are the FTX, AX, CS-Pro, Orbit and etc... are they the install guide for those specific RF kits? I guess those are the RF Kits that you guys have verified that works with the EVO-ONE out of the box?

Only thing that changes really is the programming of the remotes. The kits, i'm not sure how to exlpain, are made per what a distributor had asked. The distributor would be packaging the EVO-ONE with the specific RF-KIT. Rebranding basically.

There's a local chain store here, Lebeau, who uses the Orbit logo as their personal brand. The brain of the Orbit is an EVO-ONE. Used to be a Autostart brain. I don't even know if i'm even allowed to say that, so expect this part of the message to be deleted :)

FTX25/44/64/75 is our own remotes. They are currently only available locally (Canada) from my understanding.
