EVO-CHRT5 installed now want the Crimestoppers LC-4 also.

I've had the EVO-CHRT5 hooked up in the stand alone mode and everything works great. I'm wanting to add the cool start LC-4 to the system so I can increase the start distence but cant find info on exactly what needs to be hooked up besides the data conector? Right now the LC-4 works but not through the EVO. I cant get the remotes to progam to the EVO or the two boxes to work with each other. Where do I need to start?

Hi,

You won't need to connect many wires form the LC-4 since the EVO is the one starting the car.

Remote starters basically need 12V, Ground and ignition to be able to program.

  • Ignition is the yellow wire coming from the T-Harness that your EVO is connected to.
  • 12V and ground you can grab off the datalink connector

Since using datalink, make sure that in the programming options of the LC4, that the datalink protocol is set to Fortin and not something else.

Just follow the With Datalink connection for your vehicle in the CHR5 installation guide.
