Firmware Discrepancy

0 votes

2003 GMC Sierra 1500 Standard Key, with keyless entry and alarm system.  Working with an EVO-ALL, date 4/2019, firmware 70.18, using Flash-Link 4 with hardware version 4, firmware 4.05, date 11/2019.

Website indicates firmware minium version is 70.21 for both EVO-ALL and EVO-ONE.  However, above min version for the EVO-ONE has note that minium version is 70.18? Does that apply to EVO-ALL as well?

On the installation guide #61111 it states minium version is 70.32!?

Which is the correct firmware?  xx.18, xx.21, xx.32?

Using FlashLink Manager 4.51, I am only offered firmware 70.18 for a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 standard key.

If the minuim is different than 70.18, then where can I download the correct firmware?

And please tell me this is a stand alone remote starter which is going to start the truck with 3x lock on the OEM remote?

70.18 is the version that will work. That is why it is recommended to you when you plug in the module and enter the vehicle.

Almost all J1850 GM vehicle its always 70.18 wether its evo-all or evo-one.

As stated on our website, Evo-all is not a stand alone unit on this vehicle and does not support 3x lock from the oem remote. https://fortin.ca/en/vehicles/gmc/sierra_1500/2003-standard-key/

It would require a high current remote start module be paired with the evo.
