Murano shuts down

+2 votes
I've installed 2 remote starters in 14 Murano's and both have the same problem.  Once in a while the vehicle starts and shuts down right away. If you start it again it starts fine.

Firmware is 72.14

UltraStart 3295 2 way remote starter

Nissan T-harness used

Option B2 turned on

Spoke with Jesse over the phone. The solution to this problem was actually very simple. When using the datalink connection, wire the door locks to the remote starter not the EVO. Similarly you can also connect the Driver Door Pin to the remote starter after shutdown wire the EVO.

UPDATE EDIT: Door pin was causing problem wether wired to EVO or remote starter. No confirmed solution yet. Problem not caused by EVO-ALL.

NOT FIXED YET...

Any other idea's Robert?

Last 2 are still having the same problems and I have another one booked.

Last time we wired the lock, unlock, and door pin wires to the r/s. They do the same thing still. Vehicle starts and then shuts down right away. The remote starter will NOT try to re-start but if you push start on the remote starter again within a mintue or so the vehicle will start and everything works fine. Remember this only happens after the vehicle has been driven or sitting for 7-10min.

I got response yesterday from the bug report I had openned saying

le systeme semble faire un reset par le data link il n'y a pas asser de courant dans le port data link

A quick translation would be that the datalink port is not getting enough juice. You will need to try feeding 12V and ground directly to the red and black wires of the datalink port instead of using what the remote starter is feeding it.

If the previous does not do any change, you will need to see if the problem still happens when the EVO is in stand alone mode.
