Why won't the program fully recognize flashlink module?

Question

When I plug the flashlink into my pc it won't recognize it unless I run the update then it says device found but still has red dot in the middle saying it's not connected and the blue light will flash when I cancel the update. I have a flash-link 4 with Vr:4.03 firmware Service # 002504 060291

There is currently no firmware on your flashlink. It is showing up as 0.00 ...

 

Click on Help, then choose Flash Link Firmware Update. If it does not let you update the flash link, have it replaced by your distributor.

 

Can also call in, have Teamviewer or AnyDesk ready.
