How does the EVOALL start a car without Starter, Ignition, & Power outputs?

0 votes
EVOALL on 2016 Mustang PTS: I tries to install the EVOALL as a remote starter and bypass module (standalone?). Connected all the wires per the instructions (CAN, +12V, Parking lights, Ignition, ground). Updated firmware. Updated F/W options. Programmed the bypass "successfully". Press lock x 3. I hear the relay inside the EVOALL clicking but there is no power to the car and ofcoourse no start. Receive red flashes indicating "no tach". How does the unit start a car when there is no starter, ignition, or 12V power output from the EVOALL to the car? Is EVOALL only a bypass module? I dont see how the car can start without tose connections unless these signals are being sent through the vehicle CAN BUS, which I dont believe is the case.

Also after installing the EVOALL and trying repeatedly to start the car, my dome lights are continuously flashing and I can not turn them off.

Your dome lights are flashing because one or more modules was not initialized properly in the vehicle (normally due to being unplugged during installation) this is a new thing ford has done to tell you something is wrong. You can try re seating all conenctors you touched during installation.

On a 2016 mustand pts AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION the remote start feature is done through can communication not through your conventional ign,acc start.

Also for that vehicle you would want to use firmware 4.01 for that vehicle not the current version you have.

Thank you. Is that 4.01 on the FlashLink Updater S/W or EVOALL? Also, are there any CAN BUS messages that prohibit manual trans remote start? Just curious
This will never work in a manual transmission.

4.01 is the evo-all firmware.
