Evo One Alarm

0 votes
Hi guys ._. / Derek, I have a generic question. I would like to install EVO ONE with alarm. Do I have to connect the lock, unlock, horn and door pin? Or should I only carry out the installation that the schematic asks for? Obviously load the firmware with remote start and alarm option, right? How to activate the alarm from an RF RFK411? Could you explain to me in more details? Until now I had not used this function with FORTIN, I was only using it with COMPUSTART.

Hello,

"Do I have to connect the lock, unlock, horn and door pin? Or should I only carry out the installation that the schematic asks for?"

- Depending on the vehicle some of these may be hanlded by the can bus. Refer to the vehicle specific installation guide to determine what fetures are already covered under remote start. If they are not covered through data or in the vehicle specific installation guide, then yes you would want to manuall connect them.

"Obviously load the firmware with remote start and alarm option, right? How to activate the alarm from an RF RFK411?"

- Yes, flash the module for the vehicle being worked on. To turn on the alarm feature inside the evo one it is under opiton 14 in the remote starter.

Best regards.

Thanks you so much Derek. I have another interesting question. We will take as an example, the 2011 Toyota Camry. This needs Ignition 1 positive, Ignition 2 positive, Starter 1 positive and Starter 2 positive, right? Evo One can create this automatically when you set the firmware. In the case of Compustart, the CM900 module does not allow you to make these 4 positive cables. This only allows you to perform 2 positive Ignition and one positive starter or 2 positive starter and 1 positive Ignition through the jumpers. I tried to install it using the Compustart CM900 module and I only connected the two positive starters and 1 positive ignition and it worked correctly. I never turned on the second ignition. My question is: Is the connection of the two positive starters and the two positive ignitions required? How is it possible that everything worked correctly without connecting the second positive ignition?
"This needs Ignition 1 positive, Ignition 2 positive, Starter 1 positive and Starter 2 positive, right?"

- Yes, option 2.4 in the evo-one. https://fortin.ca/download/92131/EVO-ONE_IG_REG_BI_TOY_CAMRY_2010-2011_GKEY_D_92131.pdf

Best regards.
Yes I know, Evo One load this options automatically. But, in CM900 Compustar module it's not necessary the second positive Ignition. My I know why? Or this forum don't support COMPUSTAR systems? What is the function of the second positive starter and second positive Ignition? To be more specific.
I do not know why compuster does not list this wire. You would need to ask compustar that question.
Yes they also demand it in the scheme, it is required, it is there. Only since I couldn't find how to perform two positive ignitions and two positive starters, I only used two positive starters and a single positive ignition. Ok thank you very much, no more questions. Kind regards!
