2007 Silverado TBGM2 doesn't seem to accept key programming

0 votes

EVO-ALL in a 2007 Siverado remote starts with the factory key head held flat over the ignition key hole. Factory fob 3x to start.

The ignition ring is in place around the ignition cylinder and is unplugged.

Followed directions to  "Turn key to run for 1 second then to off, remove key and place TBGM2 module up to key hole and then push lock button 3 times"

Does nothing or sometimes it will go to run (Fan, radio, etc. turn on )but it will NOT attempt to crank the engine. This happens  three times and then quits trying. Plugging  it into the EVO-All and the cylinder ring gives the same no start results.

Does the unplugged ring being in place aroung the ignition cylinder affect programming the TBGM2 module?

Firmware 70.16

The TBGM2 needs to be placed in the same orientation has shown in guide. White connector facing the barrel like if the connector would be the a key blade.

No the ring will not affect the programming. You can also try to connect your tbgm2 to the ring and to the evoall and try programming this way. I personnaly never tried but should also work.
