Sliding Door and Power Lift Gate Does Not Work When Remote Started

0 votes
2017 Toyota Sienna H-Key

Options are set based on installation/wiring guide 31121 rev 20170503. I can remote start vehicle and I have it wired up to open the right sliding door and power lift gate but when I remote start the vehicle, I cannot operate them via the key fob. Module shows blue LED when I press either button on the fob. I can manually open the door/lift gate once I unlock the vehicle using the key fob. If I don't remote start the vehicle, everything works as usual.

Bypass firmware 79.42. Options A1-A10, C1 and D2 are enabled. Vehicle has OEM Alarm with hood switch bypassed.

Remote Start firmware 1.21. Tried both options 25.1 and 34.3 separately, still doesn't work. Options 38 is set at 38.5 (personal preference).

For the power liftgate to work while the vehicle is running, please enable 34.2 34.3 and 34.4 all at the same time.

You need a long pulse(34.2) and an unlock before trunk pulse (34.3) and this analog wire to only output when the vehicle is remote started (34.4)

And it goes without saying that you need to be connected to the correct wire for the power liftgate to function properly during the runtime.

Thank you,

the car will prevent the trunk and sliding doors from opening when attempting to open them from the oem fob while the engine is on.   (owners manual section 3-2 page 131 has a warning with all the limitations of the power sliding and trunk)

The evo would be able to control them but only via an aftermarket remote. The car cannot cancel out an aftermarket remote.
