2012 Chevy Cruze EVO-ALL Will Not Program

0 votes

I cannot get my EVO-ALL to program properly in stand-alone mode in my 2012 Chevy Cruze (not push button). No matter what I do, in both the standard programming method and the DCryptor method, the very last step with the flashing blue light never occurs. In standard programming, I get to the last part of step 4 after the yellow led flashes 10x and the blue light never flashes. In the DCryptor method, I get to the very last part of step 7 where the blue led turns on, then blue and red turn off, then yellow flashes and then turns off. Again, the blue led never flashes afterward. I went ahead and ran the DCryptor portion in Flash-Link and it seemed to succeed, but I am still unable to start the car in stand-alone mode.

I've double checked my connection to the ODBII connector with the brown wire, and I'm using the THAR-GM1v2 harness. I've also tried a factory reset and flashing older firmware versions. Nothing has made any difference.

The blue light flashing is the CANBUS programming. Make sure you are using the brown wire coming out of the 5 pin connector of the EVOALL has written in the guide. DO NOT use the brown wire coming out of the tharness.

Support told me the same thing, so I'm going to remove the inline splice connector I used for the brown to green (on my ODB connector), and I'll try the wrap method to give it another go.

FWIW, the blue light did come on properly in every previous step - it just never flashes at the very end of programming.
For anyone else who may run into this issue, I can confirm that the behavior indicates a bad or missing connection to the ODB wire.
