Installed the EVO-CHRT4 on a 2011 DODGE CHALLENGER and the car will not remote start with factory remote pressing the lock 3x. I am using this is a standalone. I sucessfully programmed the unit as per the PDF. When I press lock I see the blue LED flash on the EVO-ALL. I made all the neccessary connections except I did not connect the hood pin as they are said to be optional. Everything seems to be set up correctly. Why won't the car remote start? Another question is there a difference between the intelligent key and the push to start? I have an PUSH TO START . I have tried programming the EVO-ALL  with the same results. AND A yellow ligth come steady afer i turn the car off and i push the start again.

Thanks.

Checking your service number here http://fortin.ca/en/support/001A06610354/ shows me that currently there is no firmware flashed to your unit,

Please make sure that "connection mode:bypass" is displayed at the bottom right of the Flashlink Manager Screen. if not, please click on the TOGGLE button with the evo UNPLUGGED from the flashlink updater-2 until the right mode is displayed.

please go back to computer and select the proper vehicle, please select 2011 PUSH TO START, go to Evo-All updates and select the recommended firmware by clicking on the blue "recommended update"  then clicking again on the green Flash Update button, not the FLASH button on the bottom right of  the screen.

then unplug and replug the evo unit and access the Evo-All Updates and set the right options. C1 and D1 and A1-A11 to ON. and save options.

Then reprogram in vehicle, then test.

BUT WHEN I CONNECT THE YELLOW BLACK THE CAR ALARM START AND YES THERE IS RED LIGTH.

What exactly do you mean by the car alarm start?

Thank you,

First please post the correct service number it should start with 001A0x-xxxxxx. It is on the white sticker on the bottom of the actual evo-all unit.

The evo-all unit does not come from the factory 3xlock enabled, it needs to be set up using the Flashlink Updater-2 (sold separately).

You can do a quick test to determine if your unit was set up to do 3xlock, please find the dark blue wire in the 20 pin connector, strip the end and touch this wire to ground, look at evo unit to see if any leds light up, if the red led lights up, your unit is not in 3xlock standalone mode.

If red led does not light up, disconnect dark blue from ground and then find the yellow black wire in the 20 pin connector and strip the end an touch this wire to ground for a second, if the red led lights up and the vehicle starts then your unit is in standalone mode but oem remote monitoring might be off

In both cases you will need a flashlink updater-2 to be able to set the right options.

Thank you,
