In a evo-gmt4 stand alone install, does the external input on pin A13 have to be a negative pulse?

Simply because the intall instruction show a (-) beside the external input on pin A13 and my 2010 silverado uses a positive pulse to lock the doors out of the BCM.  If it does require a negative pulse, could I simply use a relay to switch my pulse to a negative one?

Yes you could use a relay from the + door lock to acheive the negative output you need but when using in standalone mode it will start with 3x lock so there is no need for a connection on pin A13

As previously stated, you do not need to start converting postive doorlock outputs to negative to be able to do 3xlock start on your vehicle.

You cannot just hook it up to the doorlock wires, or else it will start the vehicle everytime you lock the vehicle with the oem keyfob or the doorlock button on the door since the output will not be able to distinguish between the two.

Just make sure options C1 and D1 are ON in your Evo ALL to enable 3xlock start in Stand Alone mode.
