EVO-ALL - no longer remote starts and serious lack of horsepower

I have an EVO-ALL Hardware Version 5 that was working fine until a couple days ago. I used it to remote start my Nissan Murano 2009. I hit the FOB LOCK 3x and it remote starts the car. It stopped working a couple days ago and when it stopped working I noticed the car has a significant loss of horsepower. It is almost it has no "overdrive" anymore. when i press the gas peddle to the floor nothing really happens.

 

I removed the box and the horsepower is back, when I hit the gas peddle to the floor it moves. I put the box back in and the symptoms are back.

 

I removed the box and update the firmware as of 11/28/2013 and put the box back, no fix. the remote start does not work and the loss of horsepower is there.

 

I purchased this in Feb 2013 - what do I need to do?

Hi Jeff,

 

Are their any check engines showing up? codes?

What lights on the EVO are On while it's plugged in and vehicle is running (not by remote start)?

I purchased this in Feb 2013 - what do I need to do?

First, go over the install and compare it with the latest installation guide.

Second, take a look at all the TSB from Nissan. Not the first time I hear about lack of power in Nissan and a quick google search brings many results. The EVO will not work properly again until that problem is fixed.

There are no check engine lights. I hooked up my OBD2 reader to check to see if there was an engine problem and there are no codes or pending codes.

 

I dont see why I have to check my wires when it was working fine for about 10 months and then all of a sudden the remote start doesnt work and the serious lack of horsepower. I mean it is unsafe to cross an intersection or pull out onto a road with traffic because it lacks 99% of acceleration from stop.

When the EVA-ALL is removed, the car performs and accelerates normally.

Leave the EVO out for a week or 2. See if the problem still returns.

 

This is a common problem on many Nissan though and has nothing to do with aftermarket products.

My vehicle has NO issue with loss-of-power or power-shudder when the EVO-ALL is disconnected. 

 

The links you provided are for common car problems and do not have ANYTHING to do with the EVO-ALL.

 

Really, the fix is to just let the box sit around for 2 weeks?

 

Is someone out there that can help me?
