EVO- All for 2009 Nissan-Murano

0 votes
What are the lock/unlock, start/stop external control wiring for? Does that need to be hooked up in order to lock/unlock the vehicle with the keyless remote? Also is there a way to avoid having to connect to the BCM connector for the lock/unlock? Can I splice in somewhere else instead of removing the instrument cluster? All I want to be able to do is remote start the car with the factory remote and lock/unlock the car with the same remote. Thanks.

I'm guessing you are utilizing the EVO-ALL as a standalone remote starter for the 09 Murano? If so, you don't need to worry about the LOCK/UNLOCK and the START/STOP external control wires. We did the same vehicle last year and I believe that the lock signal is being monitored by the CANBUS (blue LED on the EVO-ALL will flash when you press lock or unock) so you don't have to worry about the lock and unlock connections to the BCM unless you have a factory alarm which this in this case you might need to set the EVO-ALL option to unlock before start and lock after.

The vehicle does have a factory alarm system. I assume I will need to hook-up the BCM connections, right? If I do, does that mean I still have to enable option 12 via the datalink manager. Thanks again.

You only need lock/unlock at BCM if the car unlocks the door when ignition turns off (factory Nissan-Infiniti option). Start your car (normal start), lock your doors, stop your car. If the doors unlock, you will need to wire the lock and unlock to the bcm or when you remote start, the doors will remain unlocked when the remote start timer shuts down the car.

Thank You for your help. Have a great holiday!
